Summary
A corporate case assistant provides legal support with general corporate maintenance and complex transactions for both private and public company clients. Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Responsibilities
- Maintain corporate records and assist with compiling and organizing information and documents
- Assist in preparing legal opinions and assembling opinion back-up
- Prepare corporate and securities filings and conduct related research
- Prepare stock certificates and maintain capitalization tables
- Coordinate closings and prepare related documents
- Obtain and file documents with public agencies
- All other duties as assigned or required
- Bill a minimum of 1600 hours annually
- Turn in time sheets, e-timelogs and fulfill other administrative duties in a timely fashion
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Available to work overtime, as required
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and track extensive details to deliver excellent client service
- Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with personnel and to handle confidential information sensitively and discreetly
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite with a strong proficiency with Excel
