Summary

An Am Law 50 law firm with offices worldwide, has an opening for a Strategic Sourcing Manager within their Procurement & Contracts Department in their Denver office.

The Opportunity 

The Strategic Sourcing Manager is responsible for delivering value and leading innovation for the firm through a broad set of sourcing and procurement activities.  This position is responsible for collaborating closely with stakeholders to understand needs and strategic objectives for the various departments to develop a strategic roadmap for sourcing opportunities in order to drive value and mitigate risks. This person works cross-functionally with the various departments and offices throughout the firm to evaluate requirements of goods and services, manage implementation of new supplier programs, communicate contract terms and facilitate hand-off of contract management to the business unit to establish new supplier relationships in an efficient manner.

Ideal Candidate

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain or a related field preferred. MBA a plus.
• Four plus years of experience in operations, sourcing and procurement or project management role.
• Vendor negotiation experience.
• Experience in change management and implementing new programs and processes.
• Understanding of law firm operations a plus.
• High degree of motivation, with driving sense of responsibility, accountability, and responsiveness.
• Advanced analytical and information gathering skills; ability to evaluate and prioritize extensive, detailed data.
• Talent for delivering client service through teamwork.
• Ability to quickly assess information, anticipate issues and outcomes, and make effective recommendations and/or decisions, including ability to draw clear conclusions from a diverse set of data
• Excellent organizational and project management skills; ability to manage multiple requests, assess priorities, and achieve solutions under deadlines.
• High client service ethic and a proven record in delivering exemplary client satisfaction to external and internal clients.
