Manager of Legal Recruiting

Summary
The Manager of Legal Recruiting is charged with executing the work of the Recruiting Committee by managing all processes associated with legal recruiting and implementing current and best practices with legal recruiting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Recruiting Related Duties
- Coordinate on-campus recruiting and maintain relationships with law school career service professionals.
- Administer the on-campus interview process.
- Spearhead efforts and initiatives resulting from Recruiting Committee meeting discussions.
- Compile and maintain statistical recruiting analyses used for Firm management and all requested surveys.
- Prepare Recruiting Committee meeting agendas.
- Plan recruiting activities, such as cocktail receptions, dinners and informational programs on school campuses.
- Review and make decisions on sponsorship requests from student groups and school administrations for participation in on-campus programming, including soliciting attorney volunteers.
- Serve as the department super administrator for the of viRecruit applicant tracking system, including but not limited to supervising upgrades and maintenance.
- Manage content and production of Firm Recruiting materials.
- Maintain good working relationships with law school career development professionals.
- Remain current on market trends in law student, summer associate, lateral attorney recruitment and more.
Other Duties
- Maintain memberships with professional associations such as the local city group New York City Recruiting Association (NYCRA) and the National Association for Law Placement (NALP).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
- Knowledge of current recruiting best practices.
- Excellent leadership and management skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of firm personnel.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all levels of personnel. Professional and gracious demeanor and service attitude at all times.
- Ability to work independently under pressure.
- Ability to organize and implement detailed and complex projects.
- Flexibility in the midst of multiple and/or changing priorities and deadlines.
- Integrity – strong professional and ethical standards; Must observe confidentiality of personnel and Firm matters.
- Proficiency in Outlook, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint — familiarity with viRecruit or another recruiting database. Knowledge of viLMS or a similar CLE database a plus.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Eight or more years’ experience in professional recruiting and diversity related fields.
Working Conditions
- Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature, etc.
- This position is full-time and requires the ability to maintain confidentiality, work extended hours and/or travel, as necessary.
- Full C-19 Vaccination and Booster are required unless otherwise permitted by law.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $150,000.00-$170,000.00, dependent on experience
