Summary

An Am Law 50 law firm with 16 offices worldwide, has an opening for a Staff Recruiter within their Human Resources Department for their San Francisco, Los Angeles, Denver or New York office location.

It’s an exciting time to join the Firm’s Human Resources team!  The Staff Recruiter will be guided by department objectives and priorities, manages hiring of staff positions for designated positions/offices.  Coordinates recruiting processes, collaborating closely with offices and hiring managers.  Recommends and implements programs, improvements to attract talented, diverse candidates.  Ensures client services and satisfaction are attained in all areas of position.  

Essential Functions

  • For designated offices and hires, manage overall recruiting process to ensure high level candidates are sourced and motivated to join the Firm, and that recruiting needs are fully supported in offices.  Travel to assigned offices as needed.
  • Lead all tactical aspects of hire processes, including developing job postings, sourcing and interviewing candidates, coordinating candidate appraisals, recommending and coordinating offer details, initiating new hire processes, etc.
  • Develop strong relationships with hiring managers to ensure in-depth value and service is delivered.  Recommend recruiting approaches and provide professional guidance to managers on recruiting processes and strategies.
  • Develop and regularly review recruiting procedures, such as intake, posting, communications, interviewing, etc. to ensure effectiveness, strategic focus, and adaptability to hiring managers’ and office needs.
  • Develop strategic relationships with outside agencies and groups, such as recruiting agencies, special interest groups, educational facilities, etc, to promote the Firm’s recruiting efforts.
  • Regularly research online and other resources for posting positions, including those reaching specially targeted constituencies.
  • Ensure hiring processes are administratively efficient, coordinated, and organized; maintain accurate and complete records, files, etc.  Ensure appropriate Applicant Tracking System and Workday processes and protocols are followed.
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements related to recruiting.  Provide direction to hiring managers and offices to meet compliance requirements.
  • Screen and respond to background reports for new employees, assessing when reports may be approved and when reports require further review.
  • Collaborate closely with firmwide recruiting team members and others to ensure exemplary, seamless service.  Ensure back-up support, share strategies, ideas, data, etc.

Ideal Candidate       

Education and Experience

  • Minimum three years’ experience in human resources, with two years’ experience in recruiting for a diverse portfolio of positions at levels up to manager level.
  • Experience with recruiting for technology, patent, marketing, and finance a plus.
  • Prior experience in a legal or professional environment preferred.
  • Previous experience with Taleo and Workday systems a plus.

 

 

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $75,000.00-$95,000.00, dependent on experience
