Litigation Paralegal

Premier, forward thinking, global, law firm is seeking a Paralegal to join our litigation practice group.
Summary
The Litigation Paralegal will support Firm’s Financial Services litigation team. The preferred candidate will have experience working on financial services litigation and government enforcement matters such as those before the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Additionally, candidate will be able to work autonomously and have the ability and demonstrated track record providing case management on complex matters with a strong proficiency in motion practice, e-discovery, (including large scale document productions), and deposition and trial prep. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
Responsibilities
- Proactively manage all phases of discovery
- Assist with various Appellate, Federal, Regulatory, and State filings
- Proficiency with the mechanics of e-filing with courts and agencies
- Maintain and organize case files
- Conduct factual and legal research
- Proofread, cite check, and shepardize briefs and legal memoranda
- Manage case calendar and electronic case rooms
- Other tasks as assigned by practice group or paralegal management
Skills & Experience
Required
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3+ years of substantive litigation and e-discovery experience
- Available to work overtime, as required
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and track extensive details
- Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with personnel and to handle confidential information sensitively and discreetly
- Proven ability to take initiative and, as needed, direct projects autonomously
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and Relativity, or other litigation support platforms
Preferred
- Experience working on financial services litigation and government enforcement matters, particularly those before the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau
- Previous law firm experience
