Marketing Coordinator (Awards & Rankings)

An Am Law 50 law firm with offices worldwide, has an opening for a Marketing Coordinator within their Marketing department. This role can be based in any of their U.S. offices, San Francisco, Palo Alto, Los Angeles, San Diego, Denver, Boston, New York or DC. 

The Opportunity 

Working as part of a global team of business development professionals, the Awards & Rankings Marketing Coordinator will support all aspects of creating, developing, and facilitating the completion of submissions to major legal directories (such as Chambers and Legal 500), as well as other rankings and awards published by a range of publications.  The Coordinator attains synergies for all marketing programs through effective collaboration with our extended marketing team and ensures client service and satisfaction are attained in all areas of the position.

  • Research, write and coordinate content, maintaining consistent Firm image and voice throughout responses. Coordinate all aspects of production and distribution of submissions, with the objective of increasing the rankings, visibility, and recognition earned for the Firm and its lawyers.
  • Work with the management team to ensure editorial integrity and quality in lawyer directory submissions to optimize rankings results and performance.
  • Work directly with lawyers to organize the production of directories and awards submissions, including coordinating interviews, gathering matters and working with relevant members of the business development team to produce relevant content.
  • Coordinate associated promotional activities on the firm’s website, including, news items, updating biographies and other marketing material on the website, working closely with the business development team.
  • Work with the management team to monitor research deadlines, coordinating internally as appropriate.
  • Thoroughly capture all information in salesforce CRM and use platform to manage submission deliverables with marketing team.
  • Develop and maintain information on efficacy of submissions; maintain statistics regarding participation and rankings results.  Provide comparative analysis of year over year rankings statistics.  Work on reporting to communicate these results.
  • Coordinate formatting for content; prepare specialized survey or ranking template documents for application.
  • Develop and maintain coordinated system for managing client references for submissions.

Ideal Candidate       

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.  Advanced degree a plus.
  • Experience developing and producing submissions to Chambers and Legal 500 lawyer directories and other publishers’ lists and award rankings.
  • Three years of relevant experience in professional services marketing (law firm experience preferred) and/or experience in a legal directory environment in a research or editorial capacity.
