Human Resources Coordinator
SUMMARY
Support the Human Resources department with all aspects of attracting and hiring qualified candidates with a heavy emphasis on the paralegal recruiting process. Provide general administrative support to the Human Resources department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Recruiting
- Update job descriptions
- Post positions on the applicant tracking system and external sites
- Assist with coordinating and scheduling interviews
- Assist with the recruitment of junior level positions
- Assist with the maintenance of recruitment related documents
- Assist with reference and background checks for all new hires
Paralegal Recruiting
- Create and maintain spreadsheets
- Monitor and maintain the applicant tracking system
- Post positions with external sites and consortiums
- Conduct initial review of applications
- Conduct initial phone interviews for paralegal positions and be the first point of contact for paralegal status inquiries
- Coordinate the logistics for all call-back interviews, ensuring that all interviewers have the required documentation
- Ensure all applicant documentation is correctly maintained throughout the interview/onboarding process
Employee Onboarding
- Assist in drafting offer letters to be sent to the candidate
- Onboard new employees through Taleo, including the distribution of all new hire paperwork
- Coordinate the orientation for all new hires; including facilitating the arranging of new hire trainings
- Conduct reference checks and process background checks
In addition, responsibilities related to maintaining firm and client information are to be adhered to by all employees. This includes complying with the firm’s information security policies, protecting firm assets from unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, destruction or interference, and reporting security events or potential events or other security risks to management.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have strong communication (written and oral) and follow-up skills, attention to detail, must be highly organized, motivated and energetic
- Must be proficient in MS Office
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- A minimum of one year’s experience in Human Resources field
- A bachelor’s degree required
