The Proposal Specialist will work closely with the Senior Business Development Manager and other Business Development colleagues, as well as the Practice Group Leader and partners in the PDF Group to develop compelling proposals, RFP responses, and directory submissions for the assigned practice groups and coverage areas. This position is heavy in working in PowerPoint and Word documents. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing compelling custom pitches and RFP responses; tracking success rates in the client relationship management database; collaborating with core BD team in advocating best practices
  • Preparing relevant directory submissions; identifying and tracking practice specific awards / submissions
  • Developing and maintaining marketing collateral (brochures, capability presentations, web content) in conjunction with core BD team; ensuring all information are kept up-to-date in the relevant databases
  • Conducting research on client companies, client contacts, and industries

  • Ability to develop key messages/selling points in collaboration with partners and BD colleagues
  • Superior ability to prioritize and manage multiple, concurrent projects
  • Ability to develop and deliver executive-level presentations
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Thorough knowledge of MS Suite – Word, Excel and PowerPoint 

Education & Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years in a similar document development role with a professional service firm, financial institution or non-profit preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree required
