Summary
Our client, an AmLaw200 firm, has an immediate opening for a Payroll & Benefits Coordinator in our Boston office. The Payroll & Benefits Coordinator will work alongside the Payroll Specialist, Benefit Specialist, and other members of the Human Resources and Finance departments in various administrative, clerical, and basic finance tasks.
Responsibilities
Payroll
- Assist Payroll Specialist in processing, delivery, and reconciliation of bi-weekly and semimonthly U.S. payrolls. Serve as back-up for Payroll Specialist
- Updating payroll/HR records to enable accurate and correct calculations of employee withholding and other elections.
- Assist in timely and accurate processing of off-cycle payrolls and payments.
- Assist in maintaining and updating the daily payroll cash sheet and entering ad hoc general journal entries into the accounting system.
- Assist in annual audit requests.
- Work alongside tax department on various administrative tasks in relation to equity partner compensation and taxes.
- Ad hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications
- At least 2 years of payroll experience in a corporate environment required (experience in a professional services environment a plus).
- Self-motivated, organized, and extremely detail-oriented
- Ability to think critically and creatively to identify solutions to business problems
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and multi-task.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite; superior Excel skills a plus.
Compensation
The salary range for this role is $50,000 – $60,000, nonexempt.
