Fiduciary Administrator

Summary

Our client seeks a Fiduciary Administrator to assist the Private Client Services attorneys in all aspects of the department’s California estate and probate practice. This is a hybrid role, required an in-office presence at least 3x/week, or more if it becomes the policy of the Firm.

Responsibilities

  • Organizing and liquidating estate assets
  • Preparing documents in connection with post-mortem trust administration
  • Preparing Probate Court filings
  • Assisting in obtaining asset valuations
  • Reviewing accountings
  • Preparing cash reconciliations and proposed asset distributions
  • Preparing documents to assist with estate planning, including deeds, assignments of entity interests, beneficiary designations, powers of attorney and health care directives
  • Preparing federal/state estate tax returns
  • Creating entities, including preparing state filings and organizational documents
  • Coordinating administration matters with clients and advisors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
  • 5 years of trust & estates experience administering estates of high-net worth clients.
  • Experience in California Estate planning is required.
  • Accounting/finance background is a plus.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to quickly and proactively identify and analyze problems, develop solutions, and deliver results.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a team environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Available to work considerable overtime when required, including evenings and weekends.
  • Strong technical skills in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, as well as the ability to learn new software and applications.

Compensation

The anticipated compensation range for this position is $90,000 – $120,000.  The actual salary offered will be based on a number of factors including but not limited to the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
