Responsibilities

As a Business Development Senior Specialist, you will be responsible for working closely with the BD Manager – Washington, D.C. to execute the business development market strategy for the office. Other key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining in-depth knowledge of the firm’s market position in Washington, D.C., the competitive landscape, D.C. client base, and bench of expertise
  • Staying abreast of developments and trends in the D.C. market and remaining informed of all major new clients and matters
  • Supporting the routine analysis and reporting of market trends, internal financial information, business opportunities, and pitch activity in efforts to develop and implement internal and external business development strategies
  • Supporting the implementation of business development tactics and initiatives in alignment with the strategic objectives of the office
  • Aiding in the execution of cross-selling strategies, including collaborating with relevant BD teams

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree, or higher, in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field
  • A minimum of four (4) years of related subject matter experience and related analytical experience
  • A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience working within Litigation practice areas
  • Have knowledge of the litigation landscape
  • Possess a high degree of discretion and independent judgment
  • Possess the ability to execute multiple work streams and manage priorities effectively
  • Possess well-developed analytical and research skills
  • Have strong PowerPoint, Excel, and Microsoft Office skills
  • Have experience with InterAction and Foundation (a plus)

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this role is $90,000 – $125,000 and represents the firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and location. Discretionary bonuses may be awarded in recognition of individual and firm performance — and profit-sharing partnership contributions to 401(k) accounts may be given based on firm performance.
