Summary

As a Business Development Manager – Environment, Land, & Resources, you will be responsible for working closely with the Environment, Land & Resources Practice Group Chairs to execute the strategies of the practice.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the implementation of business development tactics and initiatives in alignment with the strategic objectives of the practice
  • Aiding in the execution of cross-selling strategies, including collaborating with relevant BD teams
  • Coordinating the research of markets, competition, and client targets conflicts for the practice group to drive strategy
  • Developing and maintaining in-depth knowledge of the practice’s market position, client base, matters, and bench of expertise
  • Staying abreast of developments and trends in the area of environment, land & resources and maintaining a pulse on the competitor landscape
  • Becoming an expert in the capabilities and strategic priorities of the Environment, Land & Resources Practice and leveraging this knowledge to operate as a “dot connector” within the firm
  • Serving as a trusted business development advisor to the partners and counsel of the Environment, Land & Resources Practice

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree, or higher, in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of business development experience is desired.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience working in an environmental field
  • Possess knowledge of the litigation and corporate landscape
  • Display high degree of discretion and independent judgment
  • Demonstrate the ability to execute multiple work streams and manage priorities effectively

The salary range for this role is $125,000 – $140,000 and represents the firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and location. Discretionary bonuses may be awarded in recognition of individual and firm performance — and profit-sharing partnership contributions to 401(k) accounts may be given based on firm performance.
